In 1889 Terentii Solovyev
("Nightingale" in English) decided to launch own legal practice in Elisavetgrad (now Kropivnitskiy, Ukraine). Mr Solovyev's ultimate goal was to assist businesses across the region. Private initiative and capitalism started to grow exponentially after reforms in Russian Empire in 1870-1880. Terentii's son Maksym continued to develop Nightingale's legal practice, but his children decided not to join the business and devote their lives to state service.
Generations of Solovyevs were in state service when in 2020
Anatolii Kovalenko and
Ivan Kovalenko (descendants of Terentii Solovyev - two Nightingales as reflected on the firm's logo) decided to found Nightingales Partners and honour their ancestor by continuing Mr Solovyev's lifework.
